On December 23rd, Dr. Tenzin Lhanzey from Men Tsee Khang branch clinic in Paonta Tibetan settlement was invited to a program on elder care initiated by the Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration, through the Tibetan Primary Healthcare Center at the settlement. Due to prevailing conditions, Dr. Lhanzey gave a speech on loong disorder (three primary energies: loong, tripa, and baekan) and explained how applying heat compress therapy (Zati therapy) on the body’s loong points can alleviate loong disturbance and balance the energy. The main purpose was to address prevailing insomnia in most elderly people by educating them on self-help methods, especially rapid techniques to overcome insomnia, tinnitus, and dizziness.
