On July 28, Dr. Tenzin Lhanzey from the Paonta branch clinic delivered a health talk on hepatitis during a program organized by the settlement’s Tibetan Primary Healthcare Center in observance of World Hepatitis Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about the prevalence of hepatitis within the Tibetan community and to promote measures to prevent its spread.  

The audience included the settlers from the community and students from Sambhota Tibetan School in Paonta.

Dr. Lhanzey discussed the causes, types, and symptoms of hepatitis as well as contributing factors. She also offered guidance on preventive measures, emphasizing the importance of diet and lifestyle choices according to Tibetan medicine.
