On September 4, 2025, Dr. Passang D. Phempu, Director of Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (NIT), along with a team of faculty members from the department of Buddhist Tibetan Studies, paid a courtesy visit to Men-Tsee-khang.

The team was warmly received by our Director, Mr. Thupten Tsering, and the culture Director, Dr. Tsering Norbu.

A brief meeting and discussion were followed by a guided tour of the Prayer hall, Astrology department, Pharmacy department, Quality control department, College, Clinic and our In-patient department.
The team primarily came to participate in the Tibet-Himalaya Relations Conference, which was held from 3rd to 7th September 2025 in Dharamshala.

Men-Tsee-Khang has been deputing lecturers (an associate professor and 2 assistant professors) to the Sowa-Rigpa department of NIT for many years, fostering a strong relationship between the two institutions.
