Health Kalon, Ms. Pema Tso paid her inaugural official visit to Men-Tsee-Khang Tibetan Medical & Astro Institute on 24th August 2026, following her appointment as Health Kalon of Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration.

The leadership of Men-Tsee-Khang led by the Executive Director Mrs. Tsering Chonzom, Culture Director Dr. Tsering Norbu, General Secretary Mr. Dhondup Palden and the members of the Executive committee accorded a warm welcome to her by offering traditional scarf. The official visit commenced with a visit to the prayer hall, where the Kalon ceremonially lit a butter lamp, followed by an extensive tour of the various departments of the institute.

The official visit concluded with an inspiring address by the Kalon who commended the dedication and contribution of the institute’s staff in the preservation of Tibetan culture, while also emphasizing the collective responsibility of every individual in carrying forward our rich culture.
