On May 26, 2025, a closing ceremony was held for a series of workshops organized for the outgoing 22nd batch of medical students and the 12th batch of Astro-science students of Men-Tsee-Khang. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Jigme Namgyal la, Education Secretary of the Central Tibetan Administration, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The workshops included a month-long acupuncture training from March 11 to April 10, conducted by Dr. Tenzin Thaye, and a 45- day Sowa-Rigpa Mild Therapy workshop from April 11 to May 25, led by Dr. Jigme Gendun, both for medical students. Notably, the final 10 days of the acupuncture training featured a free treatment drive at the Tibetan Settlement Office’s Community Hall in McLeodganj, during which a total of 167 patients were treated.


Simultaneously, the Astro-science students participated in a practical application workshop on Tibetan Astro-science from April 1 to May 10 by Mr. Tenzin Loden (TASP).

In his keynote speech, Mr. Jigme Namgyal la emphasized the importance of preserving traditional practices through diligent application, while also upholding professionalism and etiquette with patients and client interactions. He praised the holistic health care approach of Sowa-Rigpa and encouraged the students to broaden their knowledge by learning about other medical systems.

The ceremony included the distribution of certificates to the participants and thank-you gifts to the lecturers in appreciation of their time and dedication.
Positive feedback from the students reflected the overall success and value of the workshops.
