Director’s official tour to Southern branch clinics

Mr. Thupten Tsering, Director of Men-Tsee-Khang, recently concluded a successful two-week official visit to the southern branch clinics held from July 20 to August 5, 2024.

The tour covered a comprehensive itinerary, including visits to the following locations: Chennai branch clinic, Secunderabad branch clinic, Mundgod Camp 6 and Camp 3 branch clinics, Bangalore MTK Sowa-Rigpa College, Bangalore Mahalakshmi branch clinic, Bangalore Koramangala branch clinic, Kollegal branch clinic, Hunsur branch clinic, and the two branch clinics at Bylakuppe – Lugsum Tibetan settlement and Sera monastery.

During his visit, the Director toured various sections of the branch clinics and the Sowa-Rigpa College, observing daily activities and operations. He conducted insightful and productive meetings with the staff at each branch clinic, providing valuable advice on professional conduct. In particular, he emphasized on the importance of integrity and dedication in their roles, encouraging harmonious relationships among colleagues, and most importantly, serving patients with love and compassion.

Mr. Thupten Tsering also updated the staff on the overall progress and current situation of the Institute. He took time to listen to staff concerns and suggestions for the betterment of the branch clinics and the institute as a whole.

In addition to the internal meetings, the tour also included visits with sponsors and the long–time supporters of the branch clinics. The Director personally expressed his gratitude for their unwavering generosity and support, which have been instrumental in sustaining the operations and development of the clinics.

The tour concluded in Bylakuppe, where Mr. Thupten Tsering visited both the Lugsum and Sera branch clinics. He conducted a thorough inspection of the medical camp sites and oversaw the ongoing renovation work at the Lugsum branch clinic, to ensure the smooth progress of the upgrades.

After concluding his successful tour, the Director returned safely to Dharamsala on August 5, 2024. The visit was highly productive providing valuable insights that will guide future improvements and strengthen the operations of the southern Men-Tsee-Khang branch clinics.
