Enriching Workshops for the 21st Batch of Medical Graduates and the 11th Batch of Astro-Science Students

Men-Tsee-Khang organized specialized workshops for the 21st graduating medical batch and the 11th Astro-science batch. Eight graduates from the 21st medical batch attended a 7-week Acupuncture course led by Mr. Kay Ehrbar, alongside doctors from branch clinics at Dekyiling, from April 8 to May 25, 2024.

The remaining graduates participated in a 5-week workshop conducted by Dr. Tenzin Thaye, personal physician to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, at the head office in Dharamsala from March 25 to April 26, 2024. These acupuncture workshops included both theoretical and practical lessons, featuring a free treatment drive at the Men-Tsee-Khang college hall, the Tibetan Settlement Office’s Community Hall in McLeodganj, and the Tibetan Settlement Hall in Dekyiling, treating a total of 300 patients.

For the 11th batch of Astro-science students, Tibetan Astro-science practitioner Tenzin Loden, head of the Astro Outreach & Development department, led a workshop on the practical applications of Tibetan Astro-science from April 1 to 26, 2024. This workshop aimed to enhance skills in oral consultation, public speaking, astrological chart reading and interpretation, and presentation preparation. It was the first of its kind for these students and they received positive feedback.
