Sikyong Penpa Tsering visited Men Tsee Khang this morning as part of his official tour in Dharamsala.
He was accompanied by Ms. Tashi Dekyi, Additional Secretary of the Department of Home; Mr. Yeshi Tenzin, Section Officer of Home, and Mr. Kunchok Migmar, Tibetan Settlement Officer.

Sikyong was warmly received by the staff of Men-Tsee-Khang and given an extensive tour of the administration, production departments, and the college campus by the Executive Director, Mr. Thupten Tsering. He also inaugurated the newly constructed Sang-sol area, the Research department office, and recently renovated sections of the Pharmacy department.



Following the tour, all Men-Tsee-Khang staff gathered at the College hall. The program began with a briefing by the Director on the undertakings and achievements of the institution.

In his address, Sikyong delivered an insightful speech covering a wide range of issues. He particularly emphasized the importance of understanding Tibet’s historical status and current affairs in the collective effort to resolve the Sino-Tibet conflict.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Culture Director, Dr. Tsering Norbu.
