Men-Tsee-Khang lost one of its dear staff members, Dr. Phuntsok Wangdue, yesterday in Delhi at Holy Family Hospital, where he breathed his last after a prolonged illness. A prayer service was held in the afternoon at the Men-Tsee-Khang Head Office and the Itanagar branch clinic, attended by all the staff.

Dr. Phuntsok Wangdue was born in Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh, to Mr. Sonam Tashi and Mrs. Kokoma on August 15, 1975. After completing his 5-year degree course in Tibetan Medicine (Sowa-Rigpa) from Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute, he received his degree after appearing in the graduation examination of Men-Tsee-Khang College in November 1997. He joined Men-Tsee-Khang as the head of the Tuting branch clinic on March 1, 2008, and continued to serve the Institute diligently for over 15 years until his demise. During his tenure, he also served as the head of the Tezu branch clinic for 5 years from 2016 and the Itanagar branch clinic from April 2021.

He is survived by his wife and two children. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May the departed soul find solace and be reborn soon.
